Historic Denver Avenue
Fort Lupton’s historic main street, which the city describes as rich in early-20th-century commercial buildings, with Wholly Stromboli, Lucky Shot and Raw Roots on its 300 and 400 blocks.
The City of Fort Lupton calls Denver Avenue its historic main street and points to its many early-20th-century commercial buildings; the city keeps its own register of designated historic properties, and a Historic Preservation Board meets on the first Thursday of the month. One storefront with a published history is the St. John building at 410 Denver Avenue, an 1889 mercantile now home to Wholly Stromboli (https://www.whollystromboli.com/our-story/). Along the same stretch are Lucky Shot Sports Bar & Grill at 327, A Natural Way at 333 and Raw Roots Juice Bar & Cafe at 337. The City Museum at 453 First Street, in the 1929 former public library, is included on the city’s Fort Lupton Historic Tour.
