Fort Lupton City Museum
The city’s free local-history museum in the 1929 former Fort Lupton Library on First Street: the Ralph Haynes arrowhead collection, the town’s canning-factory story, a 1950s domestic corner and family and cemetery archives. Wed–Fri 10–3.
The City of Fort Lupton runs its museum in the town’s old public library, built in 1929 to a design by architect John J. Huddart and given historic designation in 1996; the collection moved here in 1993 after outgrowing a room at City Hall. Displays include the Ralph Haynes collection of arrowheads and other artifacts, the story of the town’s canning factory, a 1950s domestic corner, high school yearbooks and local newspapers, and the archive holds family histories, cemetery records, business documents and photographs back to the 1800s. Admission is free; it opens Wednesday to Friday, 10 am to 3 pm. The city also posts recorded interviews with community members on its YouTube channel, linked from the museum page.
